Rima Schulkind "Trophy Wife" Body Form Mixed Media Wall Sculpture

Item Details

A mixed media body form wall sculpture by Rima Schulkind titled Trophy Wife from her Images of Women collection. The large piece features a female body form to the center, covered in a dense layer of collected beads in a wide array of sizes, shapes and colors. Around the waist are strands of gold-colored seed beads, with additional strands of seed beads criss-crossing the body. At the neck is a vintage gold-toned bow-shaped brooch. The figure is surrounded by paper packing material and the figure has a fur collar. The form is mounted over a vivid red background, and housed in an artist-made gesso frame, which has been hand decorated with scrolls to imitate a Baroque-style frame.
