Cincinnati Gardens - Xavier Basketball Chair
Item Details
A relic from the last days of Xavier basketball, courtesy of the Cincinnati Gardens ‘Ice Bar’ collection, is in this lot. There seems to be a tradition at Xavier University concerning their senior basketball players and the chairs they sit on during a game. The chairs are blue with a white cushion back that has ‘XAVIER’ in blue lettering. The seniors destroy their chairs after the last game of the season. This chair is broken and according to the curator of the ‘Ice Bar’, he saved it from the dumpster to keep for his collection.
