A collection of antiquarian books. This collection includes five books from Porter & Coates’ ‘Alta Edition’ publications: Life of Boone by Edward S. Ellis; Fox’s Book of Martyrs by John Foxe; Cook’s Voyages by A. Kippis; Strickland’s Stories from History by Agnes Strickland; and In the Arctic Seas by Captain M’Clintock. All are editions from the late 19th century. Also included are Caxton Editions of The Partisan: A Romance of the Revolution by W. G. Simms and Mysterious Island by Jules Verne, also published in the late 19th century.
