1920's Bronze "End of the Trail" Bookend of Indian and Horse

A bronze End of Trail bookend. This bookend is a replica of the famous End of Trail statue by James Earle Fraser. The image is that of an American Indian robed in buffalo skin with a medicine bag, on horseback, with a strong wind to their backs.

Fraser originally modeled the sculpture in 1894 and created a large plaster version for the 1915 Panama-Pacific International Exposition.
