Vintage Beer Stein with Thorens Music Box

A vintage beer stein with Thorens music box. It features a tall, flaring mug with an ornate cast pewter lid, a molded and hand painted body with scenes of Munich, Germany, and a winding crank on the underside. A spring-loaded mechanism on the bottom is supposed to activate the music box when the stein is rested on a flat surface. The underside reads ‘Thorens Movement, In Munchen steht ein Hofbrauhaus, Made in Switzerland’. In Munchen steht ein Hofbrauhaus is a German drinking song.
