Antique Computing Scale from The Computing Scale Company
Item Details
An antique computing scale from The Computing Scale Company in Dayton, OH. This scale is depicted in a light blue color with the ‘The Standard Computing Scale Co.-Dayton, OH’ stamped silver tone metal signature across the top of the scale. There is also silver tone metal decoration around the scale measurements, and around the top drums. Directly above the scale measurements read ‘Patented Sept. 3, 1896: Re-Issued Apr. 28, ’96;’ along with additional patents. The base which holds the weight is a very thick glass oval resting on a scale beam. This piece rests on a round shaped cast iron pedestal. The back side of the scale features a sticker that reads ‘Gold Medals’ in a ribbon with four gold medal stickers below.
