An antique volume published in 1799 by The Bath Harmonic Society titled A Selection of Favourite Catches, Glees &c., as Sung at the Bath Harmonic Society, and a List of the Members. Second Edition, With Considerable Additions. The book contains wonderful songs that were sung ‘for the entertainment of the ladies.’ The Society was formed in Bath, England in 1795, a time of great interest in musical performances of all types. The book was printed by R. Cruttwell and sold by the Booksellers in Bath. It is bound in red Moroccan leather with gilt script. A leather and gilt label of the Society is affixed to the front endpaper.
