An original watercolor painting by listed artist Francis William Vreeland (American, 1879 – 1954). The piece depicts a nineteenth century woman sorting fishing nets. The artist utilizes hues of blue, red, and brown to produce a soft scene. Francis William Van Vreeland has ties to Cincinnati. In the early 1900’s, he worked at the Rookwood Pottery Company and also studied at the Cincinnati Art Academy.
