Three 19th Century Maps of United States
Item Details
A collection of three 19th century maps of the United States. There is one titled The Southern States drawn by J. Wells and engraved by J. Minton; it features Maryland to Texas, but only the southern states are water colored; to the verso, there is an article addressing ‘General Questions on map of the United States No. III’ with lessons 41 to 44. The second map is titled United States of North America:‘Eastern & Central’ drawn and engraved by T. Ettling; it features Florida up to Maine with hand water colored outlines for each state. The last map is titled United States of North America:‘North Central Sheet’ which is also drawn and engraved by T. Ettling; it features parts of north central states with Michigan taking up the vase majority of the page.
