American Classical Sideboard with Mahogany Veneer, c. 1850-60

Item Details

An American Classical sideboard with mahogany veneer, c. 1850-60. Features a scroll and block front with a carved backsplash and rectangular top over a pair of scroll front drawers finished with brass lined escutcheons. There are a pair of long drawers below with a pair each to each side of smaller drawers. Each of these drawers is finished with the original filigreed round brass pulls and brass lined escutcheons. There is a center cabinet fronted by a pair of flame mahogany veneered doors with brass lined escutcheon to the right door. The piece rests on two scroll front feet and two peg back feet.
