American Federal Style Pier Table with Spread Eagle Support

An American Federal style pier table with spread eagle support. Features an ogee edge to the top with simple apron finished with bottom twist detail to the edge. The top rests on a handsomely carved spread eagle support featuring an eagle with open beak grasping a branched foliate carving in his claws. The back of the top is supported by two carved feather and claw style supports. These and the eagle rest on a bottom shelf finished with a simple apron and a repeated bottom twist detail to the edge. The table rests on four carved claw feet.
