A pair of Shreve And Company sterling silver candlesticks with reticulated sterling shades. The shades are silk and fitted with sterling silver metalwork in repeated traditional geometric designs. The shade holder and its base fit around a hollow column, which fits into a loaded sterling silver base with delicately tapered shape. Pieces are marked to the bottom Shreve and Co Sterling, San Francisco, and are stamped as base loaded, indicating that the sterling hollowware was weighted.
