A vintage bronze sculpture by listed artist Malcolm Moran (1923-2011). A boy and a girl look up as they free a red bird from its cage in this whimsical metal sculpture. Dated 1971, the sculpture is attached to a stone base and is signed ‘Malcolm Moran’ near the bottom edge. Originally from Seattle, Moran studied art at the Art Center School of Design in Los Angeles, the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and later became a designer for General Motors, Boeing, Ford, and Chrysler.
