A pair of Gloria Thomas (b. 1945) ‘Illustrations for the Book of Revelation’ gouache and body color on board. Thomas lives and works in Lexington, Kentucky, and is considered to be amongst the best contemporary religious painters. Her work is in the collections of Our Lady of the Angels Monastery, Hanceville, AL; Baptist Theological Seminary, Louisville, KY; and the Morris Museum of Art, Augusta, GA. Purchased from Fairbanks Antiques, Paris, Kentucky. The artworks are presented under glass without mat in an ornate carved gold and bronze tone wood frame with wire to the verso for hanging. They are signed in pencil to the bottom right.

Condition

Wear is commensurate with light use.
