An original German Romantic School oil painting on canvas titled Still Life with Peaches on a Cliff, circa 1850. This beautifully rendered painting depicts a grouping of ripe peaches seemingly illuminated by the sun’s rays along a cliffs edge. The canvas has been relined, is presented on an oval stretcher without glass, in a gesso gilt Victorian frame with rose embellishments throughout. Includes wire for hanging and auction label to the verso.
