An original late-19th century oil on canvas still life painting. The Classical style painting depicts a pile of soft peaches resting in a woven basket on a cloth-covered tabletop. Bright oranges, soft greens, and illuminated blues pop brightly from the otherwise dark scene. The painting is unsigned. It is presented in an antique wooden frame with cast embellishments and gold tone finish. A wire is attached to the verso of the painting for hanging.

Condition

to fair- heavy craquelure across, consistent with age. Two small holes in center of painting.
