Fascinating and deadly. The Bisento is a polearm weapon affixed with a long single edged blade, with a scimitar like end shape. Featuring a cast metal dragon with a fierce gape that marries the wood pole with the metal blade. Decorative brass wrapping to pole top. Traditionally used in feudal Japan this weapon is massive in size and weight. Today it is seen as part of ritual exhibitions or ceremonial use.
Condition
Fair to good as the blade is now sports a heavy patina and the pole is cracked in several places. Paint is worn and flaking.
