Set of Porcelain Mottahedeh Dishes
Item Details
A set of porcelain Mottahedeh dishes including two large and two small dishes. The large dishes have a black rim with red and earthen color blocks on the lip and a circular black figure off center in the bowl. The small dishes have a black rim and a circular black figure off center in the bowl. The underside is marked ‘© The Museum of Modern Art, New York Reproduction of a saucer decorated with a Suprematist design after Malevich and manufactured by the Petrograd Porcelain Factory, 1923.’ It also bears the Mottahedeh mark and the Vista Alegre 1824 Portugal mark.
