Harvey is an American artist best known for his depictions of the American Civil War. ‘The Hope of the Confederacy’ depicts General Robert E. Lee and his men riding through a stream. The print is signed by Harvey in the lower left corner and numbered in the lower right corner, 5394/12500. It comes with a certificate of authenticity from the National Archives. The print is triple matted, under glass, and framed with a wire hanger on the back of the frame.
