Item Details

A Royal Geographical Society’s Sir Francis Drake Falling Ball Clock. This limited edition clock was produced by the Royal Geographical Society in 1981 to commemorate the 400th anniversary of Sir Francis Drake’s circumnavigation of the globe. The clock features a mahogany back with a decorative brass plate with hand etched detail, and a large brass ball with hand etched detail. This clock is based on original falling ball clock designs from the 1700s, and features a weight-driven movement in the ball.
