Four Framed William Henry Bartlett Prints of Canada

A collection of four framed prints of Canada by artist William Henry Bartlett (England, 1809 – 1854). Mr. Bartlett is known for his steel engravings depicting Romantic portrayals of landscapes. These antique prints bear little coloration, usually in hues of red and green, and are attributed to W.H. Bartlett as the engraver and different names for the coloration artists. Includes Long Sault Rapid on the St. Lawrence, Scene from the Summit of the Fall of Montmorency with artist G.K. Richardson, Fort Chambly with artist J.T. Willmore, and Fish Market, Toronto with artist J.C. Bentley. Three of the four prints have the name W.H. Bartlett visible. The fourth print is off-center and limits view of artist attribution. The prints are housed in matching gold and silver tone frames with black matting.
