A traditional oak dining table and chairs. The piece has an oval top with an ogee edge that lowers to a trestle base with a turned design and has ball and claw feet. The table is surrounded by chairs and includes six side chairs and two captain’s chairs. The pieces have an overall Windsor chair design. The captains’ are sack backs with a decorative pierced slat and turned spindles for the arms. The legs are splayed out with a turned design similar to the supporting stretchers. The six side chairs have a continuous back with a decorative pierced splat in the center. The chairs rest on four splayed turned legs matching the supporting stretchers. The table and chairs are unmarked by the manufacturer.
