Antique Rockingham Harker Stag and Dog Mugs

A pair of antique Rockingham Harker stag and dog mugs. The Rockingham Harker Pottery Company was founded circa 1840 in East Liverpool, Ohio and was in production until the turn of the century. These chestnut -brown glazed mugs feature handles modeled after hunting dogs with scenes of a stag grazing on flowers across the sides of the mug. The top third of the mugs are glazed with a contrasting muted mint color that melts into the warm chestnut brown, creating a swirled effect.They are marked ‘Rockingham Harker 1840 U.S.A’ on the bottom.
