An offset lithographic poster reproduction print after the original painting by well-listed and renowned Neoclassical American artist Maxfield Parrish (1870 -), titled Daybreak, printed in 1974 by the New York Graphic Society. This image was considered by many to be the most popular image of the 20th century; according to several online sources, this image was at one time hung in one of every four American homes. It depicts a woman in a loose garment lying on the floor of an ornate columned room that opens to a stunning view of a mountain fjord flooded with light. Another nude woman leans over the one lying on the floor, seemingly awakening her.The poster is not framed, mounted on white foam core board.
Condition
- edges and corners are bent and worn. Some scratching throughout the margins.
