1892 "The Discovery of America" by John Fiske Volumes I and II
Item Details
A two-volume set of The Discovery of America: with Some Account of Ancient America and the Spanish Conquest by John Fiske (Boston, Houghton, Mifflin, and Company, 1892). Vol I includes a frontispiece engraving of the author and in-plate signature. Vol. II includes a large fold-out map. Each features detailed printed maps of specific areas and of the world. The books have red leather cardboard covers with marbleized insets.
Condition
- for age. The spine covers are missing, pages are loose and show significant foxing, the covers have areas of leather and paper loss with fraying and tearing.
