Exquisite 17th century Japanese Imari porcelain bowl handpainted in dramatic Imari mineral palette, underglazed in cobalt and overglazed with rust, green, white and gold with touches of sky blue. Wonderful patterning skillfully painted with great detail and imagination. Known for their use of vivid color, their glazes, patterns and motifs functioned weaving tales of emperors, tea ceremonies, cranes, surfing rabbits, and more. Imari is a distinctive style of antique ceramics from Japan. This is one of a pair, sold separately. This one however has slightly more wear and has a chip on the rim.

When you receive your Invoice, open your Invoice and begin the online checkout process. If all of the items you purchase are eligible for transfer, you will be able to select the option “I would like to pick up my item(s) up at the EBTH warehouse” upon checkout. Select this option, click “Continue,” and submit your payment. We will then transport the items to our Cincinnati Showroom for local pickup.
Condition
Both bowls have age cracks that do not effect the integrity of the piece. One has a slight, easily repairably chip in the rim.
