Antique 1911 Mezzotint "Miss Murray"

Item Details

An unframed antique mezzotint after the original painting by English painter Sir Thomas Lawrence (1769 – 1830), titled Miss Murray (Louisa Georgina Augusta Anne), signed in pencil to the lower right by engraver Will Henderson. The print was engraved and published in the year 1911 by C. Klacker, 20 Old Bond Street, London, as inscribed to upper right, matted with the original C. Klackner matting. A label to the verso contains additional information about the print.

Condition

- to fair. Condition consistent with age. Yellowing across mat and print. As it is not framed, wear to corners and edges of mat. Mat is no longer adhered to its mounting ground.
