An original watercolor genre painting by Nebraska artist Francis William Vreeland (1879 – 1954). The painting depicts a Dutch family circa the 19th century preparing a meal in their home by the hearth. The work is signed by the artist in the lower left corner and is presented in an ornate gold tone moulded frame. Francis William Van Vreeland has ties to Cincinnati. In the early 1900’s, he worked at the Rookwood Pottery Company and also studied at the Cincinnati Art Academy. The work is wired and ready to hang.
