Yei Dancer and Southwest Sand Art

A set of four Southwestern sand art paintings. Included are a still life of two Native American pottery bowls, one a wide low bowl in terracotta, and one double-spouted vase in white with colorful patterning. Two images depict Navajo Yei figures in a pale turquoise blue with subtly highlights feathers in black to white. A fourth, smaller Navajo Yei image in golden and earthy tones is titled Night Chant, and it is tagged, ‘Female. Night chant of a Mountain God represents weather, plants and sands by color of he body.’ It is signed B. Sam to the reverse. The larger pieces are presented in dark wood frames and are ready to hang. The smaller Night Chant is unframed.
