Salvador Dalí Original LE Engraving "Le Singe et le Léopard"

An original signed limited edition engraving with pochoir (stenciled) color on Japon nacré paper by prolific Spanish Surrealist Salvador Dalí (1904 – 1989). This piece is titled Le Singe et le Léopard (The Monkey and the Leopard) from the artist’s series Le Bestiaire de La Fontaine. The print is signed in pencil by Dalí to the lower right and is numbered 100/250 to the lower left. The print depicts a surreal monkey painting a leopard beneath a tall organic mushroom-like shape. The print’s coloring is completed in pale shades of yellow, brown, and blue. The print is matted in white linen and is presented behind glass in a wooden frame with black finish and cast gold tone embellishments. A wire is attached to the piece’s verso for hanging. Included in the Catalogue Raisonné, “The Official Catalog of the Graphic Works of Salvador Dali” by Albert Field, catalogue number, 74-1 H, on Pages 92 and 93.
