French Art Nouveau Bronze Calling Card Holder
Item Details
This is a magnificent French Art Nouveau poured bronze receiving card tray (c. 1890 -1910) with a wonderful detail, design and patina, showing a pretty young lady. The face is reminiscent of the women portrayed by artist Alphonse Mucha, the french lithographer, the French sculptor Francois-Raoul Larche and the ceramicist Ernest Chaplet. This piece is unsigned but compares favorably with the finest Art Nouveau sculpture.
Art Nouveau was popular from 1890 – 1919.
