An original 1970 oil on masonite seascape painting by 20th century Virginian artist Tom Fentress (1926-2007), titled Oregon Inlet, N.C. The painting depicts waves capping near the coastline as a single seagull floats over the water’s surface. The entire scene is cast in an eery yellow-brown hue. The painting is signed in blue paint to the lower left. It is presented in a wooden frame with off-white linen lining. A hanging wire and a sheet of biographical information about the artist, including this piece’s title and date, are attached to the verso.
