Antique New Haven Mantel Clock

An antique New Haven Clock Company mantle clock. This clock has a rectangular wooden body, with waterfall top edge, two columns to each side of the round face, and metal scroll ornaments around the face, at the top of the columns, and as the corner feet. The clock face and the brass mechanisms inside are marked from the New Haven Clock Company in Connecticut. The New Haven Clock Company opened in 1853, manufacturing popular and innovative clocks and pocket watches, and later wristwatches, until 1960. This particular clock bears the 1890 stamp on the interior metal. Key included.
