A Tony Ortega signed and numbered artist’s proof. The print, titled ‘La Familia’, is number 85 from a series of 100 prints. It is hand-signed and numbered in pencil by the artist, ‘Ortega 84’ to the top margin area of the print. The title of the print, ‘AP’ and the artist’s signature also appears within the print, below the scene depicting a family group, strolling down a street. Tony Ortega (American, born 1958) is a well-listed artist from Colorado, whose work includes painting, etching, drawing and printmaking. Ortega received an MFA in drawing and printmaking from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and is currently a professor of printmaking at Regis University, Denver, Colorado. His work is in the collections of The Denver Art Museum, Los Angeles County Museum, among others, and has exhibited across the United States and around the world.
