Antique Deacon's Bench

Item Details

An antique deacon’s bench, an American Primitive classic, the piece appears to be constructed from pine and features a double crest with a scallop design accenting the center and sides. The stiles connect directly with the arms and feature a curve at the end. The arm supports are turned as well as the spindles in the back under the mid rail. The piece rest on eight slightly turned legs and have multiple stretchers for additional support.

Condition

Some loss to the finish, consistent with age and use.
