An original oil on board painting of the north face of Grand Teton Peak from Cascade Canyon. This painting uses vivid blue, green, pink, and yellow hues to compose an impressionistic landscape that fills the majority of the frame, with clear skies breaking the mountainous terrain only in the upper right quadrant. It is signed illegibly by the artist in the bottom left corner and mounted in a painted gold tone wooden frame with a beveled canvas fillet. The backside is inscribed in pen, ‘North Face of Grand from Cascade Canyon. Late afternoon—face-to-face encounter with an adult black bear on hike out.
