A vintage 1973 offset lithographic poster print advertising Levi’s jeans, designed by Ida van Bladel (1931 -) for Levi-Strauss Europe. This ad suggests the skin-tight, ‘naked’ fit of Levi’s jeans by use of the imagery of a woman’s nude bum, a hand-drawn ‘pocket’ and the Levi’s tag. The choice of imagery reflects the sexual liberation of the late 1960s and early ’70s. This poster was printed in Holland by Vita Nova. Set behind acrylic glass in a glossy black composite frame.
