John Beerman Aquatint with Applied Gold Leaf

A vintage aquatint with a la poupee coloring and gold leaf border by well-listed American contemporary artist John Beerman (Greensboro, North Carolina, 1958 -), titled The Sunset and dated 1990. The print depicts a hill littered with small trees under a golden sky with a glowing orb hiding behind it. It is signed and dated in pencil to the lower right and numbered ‘P/P #2’ in pencil to the lower left. The print is mounted behind white mat, under acrylic glass, in a simple wood frame. Beerman’s work is included in the collections of numerous reputed galleries and museums, including Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, the Portland Museum of Art, Maine, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.
