A vintage silver gelatin photograph by well-listed artist and photographer Paul Blanca (Amsterdam, 1958 -), titled Sylvia Martins, dated 1987, edition 2 of 6. Sylvia Martins is a listed contemporary Brazilian artist. The piece is titled, numbered and signed by the artist to the verso, mounted behind white mat, under glass, in a beveled composite frame with a black finish.

Robert Mapplethorpe mentored Blanca, and introduced him to New York high society, including artists such as Grace Jones, Jasper Johns, Willem de Kooning and Keith Haring. Mapplethorpe is quoted saying,
‘Paul Blanca is my only competitor.’
