An original oil painting on canvas, signed in white paint to the lower right by artist M. Martin. The image depicts a nighttime scene of a cottage surrounded by trees, ominous dark clouds gathering overhead. The painting is mounted in a wooden frame with carved bamboo semblance and a speckled gold tone finish. The verso is equipped with a sawtooth hanger.
