A ceremonial spontoon tomahawk pipe. This piece of ethnographic art is a hard wood handled pipe and axe adorned with crosshatching detail and geometric silver tone metal work applied with small nails. The decorative metal pipe bowl and spontoon axe blade are hand forged with impressed dots and incised bands. The center of the axe blade has a cut-out heart.
