Louis XV Style Mahogany Desk

A French Louis XV style mahogany desk. The desk is raised on cabriole legs with ormolu wrap around sabots and an ormolu band. Top surface has an inlaid wood veneer border and leather inset. At the frieze is a central drawer with key and decorated drawers with ormolu handles. On each side leg is a central round medallion shape decorated with an impressive ormolu mount of a female face and elaborate headdress.
