A set of six Our Maritime Heritage series of plates by Mottahedeh. These nautical themed plates feature red and blue rules to the lip and rim with detailed illustrations of Navy ships to the well. Featured are the Clipper Ship ‘Nightingale,’ the American Frigate ‘Chesapeak (sic),’ the _First Class Ship ‘Yorkshire’ of New York, _ the Auxiliary Packet Ship ‘Massacheusetts (sic)’ the Clipper Ship ‘Flying Cloud’ and the U.S. Frigate ’Constitution. Stamped to the underside of each is the series and plate title. These plates were produced, ‘By permission of the National Maritime Museum Greenwich,’ and are stamped ‘Mottahedeh / Vista Alegre / Portugal.’
