A Nigel Mansell autographed 1992 Williams FW14B / Renault V-10 Indy car by Andy Mathews. This masterful work of art features a precise replica of the vehicle, including a finely crafted engine with pistons, cables, and chromed tubes. The high level of detail makes it a fitting tribute to the original vehicle. It rests on a felt base with two plaques, one of which is hand signed by Nigel Mansell (b.1953), a noted British Formula and Indycar racing champion. Andy Mathews (b. 1959) (see link below) is a celebrated artist who has been called “The Faberge of the model-making industry” (Cigar Aficionado (Aug. 97), p. 333). His pieces, which have upwards of 3,600 hand crafted parts, some as small as 20/1000th of an inch, have been featured in numerous automotive magazines. Such vehicles take a year or more to make and, due to their precise nature, are hand delivered by Mathews himself. These models were only made for a small collection of devoted US and international clients, and since Mathews is no longer active, these vehicles are extremely rare.
