A pair of oil on board paintings depicting primates in human situations, painted by Robert Grace, according to labels to the versos. The first depicts a monkey wearing a red capelet and cap, holding a bird on its finger, seated on a small bench. The second depicts a monkey holding a stringed instrument and wearing a red blouse and white cap, seated on a small bench. Both paintings are mounted in wooden frames with cast embellishments and gold tone finishes, equipped with hanging wires on verso.

Condition

- light scratching on frame. Very light accretion on paintings’ surfaces.
