An original pen and marker drawing on paper by listed Cincinnati artist Margaret Wenstrup (1930-2008). The drawing is made up of overlapping shapes filled with black, pink, and finely-drawn loops of ink. The drawing is unsigned, but comes directly from the artist’s estate. The work is presented without framing and matting. Wenstrup graduated from the Art Academy of Cincinnati, lived and worked in New Richmond, OH, and is known as a pioneer of Mid Century Modernism and Op Art. Her art is recognized for her bold use of color and large scale work.
