Antique Chinese Mudman Lamp

An antique Chinese mudman lamp. The mudman itself dates to circa 1900-1919. The man has all the original characteristics of the authentic mud figures including poked holes for eyes, nostrils and ears, unglazed skin and glazed hues of bright yellow, blue and green. The mudman holds a jar and stands 8’ tall and is 3’ at the widest. The figure itself was added to a lamp in the 1940s. The figurine stands on a burl wood base and the lamp has a rattan shade.
