An original mid-20th century oil on board Impressionistic portrait by Western genre American painter W. Hackert. The painting depicts an American Indian man in a bright, tasseled garment. He gazes stoically towards the viewer. The painting is signed in paint to the lower right. It is presented in a wooden frame with carved patterns and gilt texture. A wire is attached to the verso for hanging.
