A four volume set of the books entitled The Seventy-four Gun Ship: A Practical Treatise On the Art of Naval Architecture was written by Jean Boudriot and translated into English by David H. Roberts (Naval institute Press, Annapolis, Maryland, 1986-1988). The four volumes are bound in blue cloth covers with silver foil lettering on the front cover and spine. The front and back endpapers are sepia drawings of ships. Topics discussed are hull construction, hull fitting, masts, sails, riggings, manning, and ship handling.
Condition
Shelf wear consistent with age and usage. Foxing, wear edge and dust jacket were is evident.
