An original watercolor painting by listed contemporary Canadian painter Brent Heighton (1954-), titled A Coming of Spring. The painting depicts a pair of small birds resting delicately on a few tall blades of grass. The grass and birds gradually fade into a blur of colored wildflowers, exhibiting Heighton’s masterful control of his watercolors. The drawing is signed and titled to the lower right. It is double-matted in pale blue and white and is presented behind glass in a thin gold tone metal frame. A hanging wire is attached to the verso.
